4/26/2013 +$62.50 (US advance gdp*LIVE*)

This video is a bit more in depth than my normal videos. I compared the 6J to the zb based on previous releases and one clearly was the winner. Watch the entire video for more details. I did have a problem tho. For some reason as I was moving my stop up the stop was hit and I was taken out before I even clicked to re place the stop. I also noticed that the market price didn't come down enough to touch my stop even if I had clicked to set it down. My take profit would of been hit about 2 seconds later if I wouldn't of been taken out. Very annoying. (Go full screen and switch quality to 720p to see the video better)

4/25/2013 +$1057.50 (Testing new Nat. Gas. settings)

Well today was another great test. I had planned on giving a detailed explanation of my settings but im having technical issues so Ill try and add more details next week if things act right.

4/25/2013 +$87.50 (Testing US weekly Unemp. with 6J)

Well i've tried several instruments with this trade in an effort to find one that works consistently. So far Gold has too much slippage, CL has too much slippage and whipsaws a lot and S&P e mini doesn't provide a big enough move. Today we tested the 6J and it had an ok move. Tic value for 6j is 12.50. I used a 10 for my bracket distance and I was able to take 7 points in profit from the trade. We'll see how it does in the future. 4/24/2013 +$212.50 (US core durable goods)

I dont usually take this trade but I wanted to see how it moved across several instruments. I tested it with the 6J and also the ZB. 1 did extremely well. The other did nothing. I also took a quick look at the CL. Out of all 3 the 6J was the best. Biggest move, least amount of slippage etc. Ill be checking other U.S. releases with the 6J to see how it does. 4/23/2013 +$320 (AUS Quarterly CPI)

This trade was a test of the stop limit order function of the JOBB software and also to see how much slippage the 6A would give me. Both tests were successful and everything went as it was supposed to. Ill test this live next time its released. (Go full screen and switch quality to 720p to see the video better)

4/23/2013 +$175 (German Flash Man. pmi *LIVE*)

I've never taken a live trade on the 6E so I decided to test it out with this trade. It did extremely well and had only 3 points in slippage. From my research this has proven to be one of the safer trades so in the future ill trade larger lot sizes with it. Again my goal here wasn't to try and make a lot of money but instead to determine how safe this release is and also how safe the 6e instrument is. Now we all know. Natural Gas News Leaks

I've been doing a lot of research on natural gas lately as it tends to be one of the bigger movers and it comes out weekly which is ideal. Its pretty obvious that someone gets the news early by all the pre news spikes that occur. Recently I came across an article that I wanted to share with you guys on this subject. The most interesting point I found in the article is as follows  "the Feds have stated that they don't think there is merit in prosecuting people who get news information earlier than others by milliseconds". Below is an example of what seems to be happening. This confirms what I believe we all knew to be true. The difference is we  now know they can do this without fear of consequence. 4/18/13 US weekly unemployment claims test with gold

Ive been looking for a consistent weekly release and saw that gold moved pretty good with this one. I've now learned that Gold has a lot more slippage than some of the other instruments we trade so I wont be using it in the future. Also this release does have whipsaw type action on occasion so I doubt ill go live with it. You can make your own judgements about things by watching below. Also I've updated the News Events Calendar to the right so you'll be able to see the trades I take each week. It should be updated by monday of each week. 4/12/2013 +$125 (US Retail Sales)

I decided to test the u.s. retail sales to see if i could take a couple points. When this is released by itself it can push the zb 20 or more points but when released with other news it will only go for half that. I used a tight take profit just to test and it worked well. This is one of the safer trades i've come across. (Go full screen and switch quality to 720p to see the video better)

4/11/13 -$156.25 (30 year bond auction *LIVE*)

Well live testing continues and so far its been hell this week. Trades that in the past have worked perfectly are now acting different. There's not much to say about this trade. I decided not to trade 2 contracts after yesterdays terrible performance by the 10 year bond auction and sure enough we were filled and the market shot right to our stop. (Go full screen and switch quality to 720p to see the video better)

Ninja trader trailing stop testing

Today I tested a method ninja trader said might fix my trailing problem. It seemed to do the trick. I noticed several differences in how the trailing worked and I'll continue testing to see how it does. Once I know for sure its working correctly ill post a video update on how it was done and what settings to change.

4/10/2013 +$200 (Australian Employment Change *LIVE*)

This was a very dangerous trade. The only reason I was able to make a profit on it was because I used a 20 point take profit. The market moved 4 points past my take profit then immediately shot down. I had about 5 points slippage which wasnt so bad. There is a video but youtube wont let me upload it. I spoke to my softwares developer and they say its because youtube has changed the way it lets 3rd party software interact with it and they'll have to create an update. In the meantime ill try to find another way to get the vids up.(4/11/13 update* found a new recording software to use, camstudio, which is working well now. video is below)(Go full screen and switch quality to 720p to see the video better)

4/10/2013 -$312.50 (10 Year Bond Auction *LIVE*)

Well the live testing of JOBB continues and this time the 10 year bond auction simply filled us and did nothing. Before setting up for this I researched the previous 3 releases and each gave an ok move but this time we were filled and it just stopped and slowly moved back towards our stop and we took the loss.  (Go full screen and switch quality to 720p to see the video better)

4/10/2013 -$275 (WASDE *LIVE*)

Well today I traded the world agriculture supply and demand estimates. The JOBB pre trade analysis said to enter the brackets 35 seconds early which I did and this proved to be a mistake. Once I did this I was filled and just as quickly the market retraced and I took the loss. About 8 seconds later the actual release came out and shot up about 80 points. Next time Ill set it up the way I planned to. 3 seconds before the release and if it spikes before I get my brackets up then I'll just miss the trade. Anyway this ones in the past, on to the next one :-)  (Go full screen and switch quality to 720p to see the video better)

4/5/2013 +$1,000 (Non Farm Payroll *LIVE*)

Well today was NFP day and also my first live trade. Everything went well for the most part, that is besides the trailing stop which neglected to trigger. I have no idea why this feature isnt working on Ninja Trader. I wont complain too much as I was able to get a great fill with 2 contracts on a live trade and I made a nice profit. JOBB continues to do well. (Go full screen and switch quality to 720p to see the video better)

4/4/2013 +$780 (Natural Gas)

Well today was a very good natural gas trade. There was a hard push up so I assumed it would be a long but I was wrong and we were filled short. The trailing stop of 7 worked beautifully tho I wasn't able to watch it because I forgot to activate the chart trading feature. Overall a great trade. JOBB has been doing very well.

4/4/2013 +$150 (Euro Min. bid rate)

Well I didnt expect a big move out of this because after checking the eur/usd forex pair this only moves between 20-25 pts. but i was gladly surprised. The euro dollar futures had a huge move. Huge as in 72 points with very little slippage. Anyway now that i've tested it ill try it live next time with a trailing of 7.  (Go full screen and switch quality to 720p to see the video better)

4/3/2013 +$150 (AUS Retail Sales) JOBB TRADE 5 TESTING COMPLETED

Well all of my test trades have been completed now and as promised my live account is now active. I set this trade up a little differently. simply an 8 point stop with a 8 point take profit but I ended up getting some positive slippage which pushed my profit up to 15 points. My first live trade will most likely be Friday's Non Farm Payroll. I'll see you guys then. (Go full screen and switch quality to 720p to see the video better)
