3/31/14 (Grain Stocks)

 

Well folks this was a great trade, the market was pushing down for most of the day but once 12 noon came it paused for a second, then shot straight up. No whipsaw, not much slippage and lots of people made 50-70 ticks in profit. Unfortunately my jobb software wouldn't activate and I missed the move. Once I hear back from Jay or Eric ill update this matter here so you'll know what happened. Congratulations to everyone who made money, this was a big win for several new people I spoke to. Thats the only reason he could think of. Its working fine now so ill put that incident in the past and just test my software at least a couple hours before any major news release.

Monday Motivation 3/31/2014

 

In every business I’ve tried to start, one thing has been a constant. The fear of doing something new. Before I got into trading I made an attempt at real estate investing, wholesaling to be specific. I started strong by purchasing a course and studying it several times, then I got my websites created, I sent out my post cards to property owners, I built my buyers list, I did everything step by step and I was sure I had found a new income stream. That is until property owners started calling. It wasn’t until I had reached that specific point in the process that I realized I was scared to pick up the phone and call these people back. Reading it here it sounds ridiculous but that’s the truth of it, I was scared. It took me 2 weeks to even start getting back to people. To get over that fear I went to the forsalebyowner website and started calling random property owners and just asking questions about their homes. In doing this I became comfortable with talking to sellers and I didn’t have to risk blowing up a deal due to my lack of experience. I needed to crawl before I could walk and within a week I had 2 properties under contract.

The same thing happened with trading. When I first started trading the news I would start to get nervous days before the release came out. If non farm payroll was coming out on Friday by Wednesday my mind would be so overcome with thoughts of whipsaws that it’s all I could think about. Many times I told myself that it wasn’t worth it, that I should just give up and find a less stressful way to make money. The simple truth is I was scared, scared of the unkown, scared I would take a loss. To get past this fear I decided that I needed to make trading boring. In doing so winners wouldn’t excite me and losers wouldn’t shake me. I had to force myself to realize that taking losses is a part of the business of trading. There is no 100% winning system, we will lose, but were prepared for it. Trading news allows us to take advantage of increased volatility with tight stops and large profit targets. In doing this we can take trades knowing that in the long run, even if we take a loss, we’ll be profitable. Knowing and accepting this gave me the confidence to continue trading.

Trading can be very stressful, and knowing your not the only person who feels that way can be the difference between giving up or pushing forward. Trust me when I tell you, your not alone. Today we have Grain Stocks, Ill be using a 15 for my stop and a 50 for my take profit. Win or Lose the day will go on as usual, the sun will set and the sun will rise, my day will move forward and that trade, once completed,  will become nothing more than a memory. Mr Binary Options System Update 3/28/14(NEW WEBSITE INFO)

 

I just got word today, the Friday trading system has been renamed the Mr binary options system. I was a bit off on several things but I got the job done. My first take profit was hit pretty quickly for a 75% return but the second order took a bit longer, I needed to get ready to leave so I changed my take profit order and thought there was a spike that took me out but after watching the video over it seems I basically exited at market price for a 40% return. At the end of the day the first trade profited 75%, second profited 40%. I made plenty of mistakes but both trades were winners so no complaints here. The testing continues, next Friday we have oil and dow trades.

3/26/14 +$187.50 (Core Durable Goods-Trap Trade)

Well today we traded the core durable goods. This was another great trap trade. The market filled us then immediately reversed. From there it was just a matter of managing the trade. The trap trade doesn't generally have much if any slippage and gives us a way to trade those releases that we otherwise wouldn't be able to trade. March 2014 Grain Stocks is almost here- Are You Ready

 In this post we'll be reviewing our biggest moving report, March Grain Stocks. I learned about this trade before joining jobb and was able to take it several times. Unfortunately one of those times was a loss which ill be discussing below. I'll also be discussing my trade plan below. Lets start with my loss. Hopefully you noticed that vicious whipsaw action over the past 2 years in June. If you watched the video above for June 28 2013 you'll notice the market spiked down 17 ticks, filled me, then immediately reversed and hit my stop. Easily a trade from hell and ill most likely skip Grain stocks June 2014 when it comes around. We cant let one bad trade spoil the bunch, lets look at some of the other releases and you'll see that they produce nice and orderly spikes. Below you'll see 9/28/12 and 9/30/13. Both great trades.

9/28/12- 93 tick initial spike

We'll skip June and September as you saw those above. Lets jump to the most recent release in January of this year as it was a great move.

Hopefully you get what im trying to say here. This has the potential to be a great trade for us and has done extremely well in the past. Ill be trading this one live as I tend to stick to the grain and bond trades. Ill personally be using a 12-14 tick bracket on this one. There will be less competition for fills and hopefully less slippage. Speaking of slippage ill be using limit orders with a slip setting of 20. Which means I wont accept any more than 20 ticks of slippage, if there is more I simply wont be filled. I haven't yet decided what take profit ill be using on this trade so that's basically my trade setup. Lets hope for a good trade and ill update again as we get closer.

This release comes out Monday March 31 at 12 noon. I've tried it without JOBB in the past but the jobb software makes everything so much easier especially with the slippage control and automation of bracket entry. All I have to worry about is watching to see if my take profits are hit and if their not I just move my stop. The less work I have to do the better as im prone to making stupid mistakes, sad but true. Ive been asked in the past if this can be traded in mt4 and the answer is no, I haven't found any mt4 brokers that offer grain futures. If that changes ill be sure to post it here. Monday Motivation 3/24/14

 

Well today is the start of a new week with new opportunities to make  positive changes. For me this will be a light week for news trading as I tend to focus on the bonds and grain trades. Ive been trying out several new income methods as I believe diversification is important if im going to be able to depend on online income. The video below is a great example of what ambition and unrelenting determination can accomplish.

Over the weekend I was researching the presidents and came across Abraham Lincoln and was fascinated by the amount of hardship he had to endure to reach his goals. He had more than his fair share of disappointment and loss and still ended up achieving great success.

Mr Binary Options System UPDATE 3/21/14

 

The Mr Binary Options system consists of 3 different strategies and today was my first loss. For this strategy last weeks was a no trade, the 7th of march was a winner and the 28th of feb. was also a winner. The good thing about trading with binary options is you know exactly what you stand to lose. For our purposes we need at least a 65% win rate to make good money and these systems are all well above that but even still losses are to be expected as there is no such thing as a perfect system. 3/20/2014 +$31.25 (Philly Fed Manufacturing Index)

This release doesn't cause a huge move but we usually get something bigger than this. The reason it was muted is because there wasn't a big deviation this time.  I was able to squeeze 1 tick out of the market so im happy about that.  I could of stayed in longer but being greedy has cost me in the past. 3/19/14 -$187.50 (fomc statement-Trap Trade)

Well we took our first trap trade loss today. The market went down enough to hit my stop then bounced off a level of support and went in the direction i thought it would. Thats trading, you win some and you lose some. Trap trade testing will continue as usual but so far i'm still impressed with it. Monday Motivation 3/17/2014

Well its a new week with new opportunities and I plan to take full advantage of as many as I can. Over the weekend I was reading several rags to riches stories and found Jim Carrey's very interesting and decided to share it here along with this video that also includes Jim Carrey talking about his start. I highly recommend both. I see stories like this every day about people who start from nothing and with hard work and drive end up highly successful. If they can do it, so can we. Lets start the week strong and finish even stronger.

Well today we had several setups but only the oil qualified to be taken. Ill let the video explain how that turned out. I've gotten several emails from people asking if this can be used with regular binary options brokers. The answer is yes. I'm generally shooting for a 70%-75% return on each trade as thats typically what most regular binary options brokers will offer. I checked several and noticed returns up to 82% on some of the others. There are lots of options and each has their positives and negatives so you'll just have to decide whats best for you.

Well this is my 3rd test of the trap trade software and so far its been doing very well. This is the 3rd winner so all of my test trades have been profitable. This release usually doesn't move too big and it often whipsaws. This made it a perfect candidate to do a trap trade. Ill continue my testing and hopefully it will continue to do well. Power Outage & No Profits

 

Hope everyone's doing well. My powers been out since last Friday morning and and its finally just come back on today.  Hopefully that was the last winter storm my area will see this year. Hopefully everyone made money on Fridays nfp. I entered my live trades on nadex around 7am and 5 minutes later my power went off. You can see the video below with details. The nadex testing will continue as usual hopefully with no more interruptions.

Today I was able to fund my live nadex account with $200. This will allow me to start testing my news trading in a live market instead of demo. If I see things continue to go well ill try and put something together with step by step details on how I do it. Lets hope my live account works as well as the demo.

Well its been a long journey to complete my site but its finally done. This was a great trade. This is my second test of the trap trade software that JOBB just released. It is free with your JOBB membership. This trade turned out just as good as the first only this time I was able to properly manage the trade which I didn't do last time. So far so good, we'll continue to test it and see how things go. ECB Press Conference 3/6/14 (Nadex-Spreads)

There are a couple press conference news releases that work very good with nadex since there's so much volatility. This happens to be one of them. I wasn't able to record this from start to finish because I was recording a futures trade but I tried to catch as much of this as I could. Ill be opening a live nadex account today so live testing will begin shortly. If everything goes well with the live testing ill release detailed information on how im trading this method.

3/5/14 +$31.25 (ADP Non Farm Employment Change)

We didn't get a large deviation on this trade and because of that we also didn't get a big move. With a decent deviation we can usually expect to take 10-15 ticks in profit, today simply wasn't the case and I was able to get out with 1 tick in profit which im fine with. The JOBB team released a new version of the JOBB software which ill be downloading today and from what i hear there are some great new features built in.
