This week we got several trades to end the month. I'm just happy to see that the software is working properly as I was concerned about the rough start we had. Keltner Pro Weekly Review (Aug. 18 to Aug. 22)

 

This will be my August 18 to August 22 keltner pro trade review. This week I was able to figure out why my software hasnt been taking any trades and I was also able to fix the problem. I also verified that the trades that are being taken on their website match what my software tried to take which is a good sign. 8/20/14 +$151.25 (CNY Flash Man. PMI)

 

This release caused a huge spike down but before that there was a tiny spike up which i thought might of filled me, I had a trade this morning and I couldn't recall how much profit I made on it. If I would of been paying attention I would of noticed that I only had $93 in profit for the day before this trade. I ended up just checking the executions and I saw that my take profit was hit. 8/20/14 +$93.75 (FOMC)

 

This was a great trap trade. The market came down and filled us then immediately moved back up to our take profit. This isnt a release I normally trade but based on the last 10 releases it seems to be a very safe report. Also the JOBB Hira lists this as a risk 2 which is a good sign. Keltner Pro Error and my Fix

 

Well i found out why my keltner pro software wasn't taking any trades. It looks like there are 2 sets of charts, 1 set for demo accounts and the other for live accounts. Unfortunately I had the ea setup on the live charts and I didn't find this out until today which means I missed about a week of trading with this ea. The good news is i've fixed things so hopefully we can start getting some trades now. 8/14/14 +$156.25 (30 Year Bond Auction)

Today we had the U.S. 30 Year Bond Auction news report. This has been one of the safer reports and today was no exception. The move was late as usual but gave us a nice pop up to hit my take profit. 8/13/13 +$90 (Crude Oil Inventories)

I dont typically take this trade but I happened to be at my computer at 10:30 so figured i'd give it a try. There wasnt a big deviation and you can tell by how the market reacted. Very bouncy move that took time to fill my sell order. This release often comes with lots of slippage so using the slippage control is a good idea. (To test JOBB for yourself CLICK HERE)

I received an email about Keltner Pro recently and while researching I couldn't find any real reviews so I decided to test it myself to see how it performs. Keltner Pro is an EA for the mt4 platform. In the past i've avoided mt4 but since this isnt news trading im hopeful that I wont have any broker issues. 8/12/14 +$125.00 (WASDE)

 

Today we had the World Agriculture Supply and Demand Estimates out of the U.S. This release has done extremely well in the past and today was no different. I traded this with the ZC corn futures but also checked ZS which is soybeans and it seemed to have a better more consistent move. Might be something to test out in the future. Tow 3.0 Update (The Oil Well 3.0)

Well this isnt the video I had planned to post today but I ran into unexpected problems so here it is. Most of you wont have this issue so as stated in the video I would like to hear from those of you that are already using the oil well. Let me know what your opinion is. We just got home from the hospital and its a bit too late to start testing the oil well 3.0 so ill just start next week. For those that asked my little brother is doing much better and he will be getting a lot of rest over the next week. It seems every week I've been seeing a new story on the news about kids dying because they were left in a hot car by a parent or caregiver. I'm not sure why this is happening so often but please be careful out there folks. Well that's it for now, my next video should be Monday afternoon.

Testing on hold for a few days

I haven't had a chance to start testing oil well yet. My brothers been in the hospital so i've been there with him. Ill start testing on Wednesday hopefully as he should be out by then. Take care folks and be safe out there.

Right Line Trading Final Review

This right line trading review will be a bit different than the other reviews i've done as this is the first automated futures strategy i've tested. The Oil Well 3.0

8/1/14 Non Farm Payroll Trade

Well this trade was nothing special. I screwed up the take profit but the trap trade worked exactly as it was supposed to. Non Farm Payroll is typically the largest trade of the month and since switching to the ES with trap trade I believe the last 10 trades would of all been winners looking back.
