9/30/14 +$62.50 (Grain Stocks)

 

I expected much more from this trade based on past releases. There have been times where this release caused spikes between 80-130 ticks. Unfortunately that didn't happen today. There must not of been much surprise in the news as the move was pretty small. I ended up moving my take profit closer to the market so that we'd get filled. I guess they cant all be 100 tick movers. 9/24/14 +$100 (Crude Oil Inventories)

 

I happened to be at my computer and noticed crude oil inventories was about to come out so I decided to give it a try. I dont usually take this trade but I know there are a lot of people who like seeing how it moves. Unfortunately we didn't get a big spike this time. The market kind of crawled to my take profit. 9/18/14 -$87.50 (Philly Fed)

 

Its been a while since we've had a loss and this is a good example. The data came out very close to what was expected and the move filled us by only 1 tic before reversing. 9/17/14 +$250 (FOMC)

 

Another great JOBB trap trade. The good thing about these is that there's no need to worry about any sort of slippage. After checking the last 5 reports it looks like none of them would of been losers. The market came up and touched our order then gave us a nice reversal. It only went against us by 1 tick. 9/15/2014 +$90 (Aus. Mon. Policy Minutes)

 

After doing a bit of research on this report it seems to be one of the safest reports that JOBB recommends. Of the last 12 releases only 1 would of resulted in a loss. That's a very good record. Today's trade continues that trend with an easy win. The market filled us and then moved into profit rather quickly. I did move my take profit closer to the market to be certain it was hit quickly but if I had been patient I could of gotten more. (To test JOBB for yourself CLICK HERE)

Keltner Pro Weekly Review (Sept. 8-12)

 

Thanks for viewing today's keltner pro review. This software generally trades only 1 or 2 days out of the week which is why were doing a 60 day review instead of just a 30. With that extra time we'll be able to see the software's true potential, good or bad. This week we only had 1 trading day and the setup was on the aud/usd pair. We had several losses this week but i've noticed that losses tend to be much smaller than the winners which is a great sign. 9/11/2014 +$187.50 (30 Year Bond Auction)

 

This typically isnt a big moving trade so I only set it up with a 10 tick take profit and a 5 stop. Everything went as planned as this is one of the safer trades we take. 9/11/2014 +$75 (WASDE)

The WASDE trade has been very consistent in the past and that trend continued today. It was a winner but today's move was much smaller than the typical move that we see so I moved my take profit closer to the market price so it would get hit. 9/4/14 +$37.50 (ISM Non Manufacturing PMI)

This trade has been good to us overall and today was a winner. We didnt get that big of a move and I personally like to see a large spike once news comes out, that didn't happen so i moved my take profit and got out early. Better safe than sorry. (To test JOBB for yourself CLICK HERE)

This trade went as expected. As far as trap trades go its one of the safest. This is a risk 1 trade and has been safe for well over a year now with no losing trades that I can recall. 9/4/14 -$300 (ECB minimum bid rate)

 

Well this was a bit of a surprise. The European central bank decided to cut interest rates. Instead of us getting our typical whipsaw action the market went in one direction and we took a loss.
