Well today was an interesting trade. With all the slippage that i've seen since the shut down ended I decided to test this out with a 15 tick take profit and a 5 tick stop. I spoke with several other traders and everyone took between 7-11 ticks of slippage which is terrible considering were used to only taking 2 or 3. Lets just hope things will get back to normal before the next nfp release. (To test JOBB for yourself CLICK HERE)

Hi guys. This is unbelievable!! I traded NFP aswell on my live account and i had a loss of almost 500$ :/
ReplyDeleteMy "Buy Stop" was executed with little slippage but in a same second i was stopped out with "Sell Stop" @ 0.010157 as you can see on my picture, price didnt get to that level ...little bit strange right? so what the hell was that? ...broker manipulation or what??

How i could be stopped out at 0.010157 if candle low when i enetered in trade is at 0.010186? ...there is 36 ticks space, right?

Hi, I've actually had that happen to me before and I contacted my broker about it and he gave me a less than satisfying response as to why it happened. I dont remember the particulars but I know I was annoyed just as im sure you are now. You might wanna contact your broker about this just so they can tell you the exact cause. You can also ask in the jobb chat, someone there might know something.
DeleteYes, i spoke with my broker & they told me, they got prices directly from exchange so manipalution is impossible and i was stopped out because there was a spike down to that level ...unfortunately :/
ReplyDeleteWell, I couldnt believe it because i havent seen any spike down on USDJPY on my forex accounts, so i contacted another futures broker i they confimed what my broker was telling me. (lowest quoted price at NFP was 0.010157)
Only funny thing is that CQG data or prices i saw on my chart when i was traded & recorded it, is different as candles i saw few minutes later ...i have no idea why!? :/

I can not see anymore that candle with big wick down where i was stopped out ...why is that, anybody can tell me?
