Many thanks Larry for following up and doing this review! My personal observations so far while testing GoldBull Pro is the following:
1. It doesn't seem to perform too well on accounts with low deposits that are starting from $500. So people using this EA should consider investing a minimum of $2,000 to have some decent results. Based on GoldBull's demo accounts it appears that an investment within the range of $5,000 to $10,000 would seem ideal.
2. I inquired about their recommended EA settings and this is what they told me (but feel free to experiment as you see fit):
EURUSD long with Agressive,
EURUSD short with Normal
GBPUSD long with Conservative
GBPUSD short with Conservative
USDJPY long with Conservative
USDJPY short with Conservative
3. GoldBull Pro has two live demo account results pages:
A. $5000 USD initial deposit | Broker - Tickmill demo | 1:500
http://www.myfxbook.com/
B. For their FX Blue page this is what they told me via an email inquiry I had - "$10,000 USD initial deposit | Broker - Tickmill demo | 1:300"
http://www.fxblue.com/users/
4. With regards to point #3, when testing GoldBull Pro on some various demo accounts I realized that this EA only works best on ECN Pro demo accounts (accounts with a fixed / tight spread) NOT classic accounts or accounts with variable spreads. Actually, when I tested this EA on classic / variable spread accounts the results were downright horrible.
5. Nonetheless, I'm impressed with GoldBull Pro's results in the above links. That being said, my recommendation would be for international users to test or open a live account on TICKMILL ECN PRO (min deposit of $25) in order to achieve similar results that you see in the links above.
6. US residents may want to try the following:
A. Try opening a live (or demo) account with FX CHOICE MT4 PRO account (https://myfxchoice.com/
B. I guess US citizens may also want to try Forex Broker Inc as a 2nd possible option (http://www.forexbrokerinc.
Those are my insights for the time being. Keep up the great job you're doing on this website Larry. I'm sure a lot of viewers like myself appreciate the time, money, and effort you are spending to keep us informed! Take care!

ReplyDeleteThis is very helpful. By chance, do you have any experience with Tallinex on this or other robots. They take US citizens, claim to be an ECN but I am not sure about fixed versus variable spreads. Your input would be appreciated.

Martin
Hey Martin, you know I was telling Larry the other day about this! I think on a basic level that Tallinex is a decent broker but when doing live side by side comparisons with other brokers I noticed that Tallinex's quote prices and spreads were a bit "different".....and different in a way that would alter the results of your trading of you were going to use the Goldbull Pro EA. In all honesty, if I were to use Tallinex as my broker I would probably use the Forex Steam V9 light version EA which I plan on testing this coming week. I'm also hoping at some point Larry will consider doing a review on the Forex Steam EA in the future. The reason why I think Forex Steam would work better on Tallinex (in comparison to Goldbull Pro) is because Forex Steam has a setting in which you can adjust the EA for ECN or non-ECN brokers.

By the way, here is more info about the differences between Floating / Variable Spread (non-ECN) vs Fixed Spread (ECN) accounts:
ReplyDeleteNON-ECN
Floating spreads vary throughout the day depending on volatility and available liquidity. They represent the very best bid and ask prices we are able secure from our liquidity providers. The advantage of a floating spread is that you receive the best current market price at the time you are trading, which can often be lower than when trading on a fixed spread account. However, keep in mind that floating spreads can also widen considerably before and after high impact news announcements and at other times of high volatility.
ECN
Fixed spreads remain the same under normal market conditions and apply only to instant orders. With a fixed spread account you are able to manage your trading costs much more effectively as you know depending on the time you are trading what the differences between bid and ask prices will be. This in return allows you to know exactly how many pips you have to make on a trade in order to exit profitably.Fixed spreads could potentially be more beneficial for new traders, algorithmic traders and those trading at shorter time frames.
This is very helpful Kenny.
ReplyDeleteThank you for responding, I appreciate it as I am a bit of a novice as to EA settings, brokers, etc.

Martin

ReplyDeleteHi, i see their not using TickMill. I mentioned in a few videos that fxchoice and Tallinex had bad results during the same period that my TickMill account had good results. Tickmill is the only broker thats recommended for GoldBull Pro.
