Well today was NFP day and also my first live trade. Everything went well for the most part, that is besides the trailing stop which neglected to trigger. I have no idea why this feature isnt working on Ninja Trader. I wont complain too much as I was able to get a great fill with 2 contracts on a live trade and I made a nice profit. JOBB continues to do well. (Go full screen and switch quality to 720p to see the video better)

    Your TS issue: Send this video to your Global Futures broker rep. Show him exactly what your doing.

      Thanks. I've sent the video to ninja trader support, I'll try global as well and see if they can offer any advice.

    Hi Empire,

    Could you give me an overview what are you doing exactly:
    - You have a ninja trader account
    - You have a script/trigger for the news time which is setting up a buylimit and selllimit order with +-xxx at the news release time
    - You also have a trigger for TS for these order
    - When the news are coming out and it is spiking the order has been fullfied

    And you are stating that, because you are using NT the platform is working with lower spread, and initially it is more accureate than to do it with a news software, and it could be not goes wrong, because you have good slipage settings?

    Is my understanding is correct?

      Hi, yes you have the basic idea of what im doing down. However im not stating that ninja trader has lower spreads or is more accurate or that it cannot go wrong because of settings. At this point I will say that I believe futures trading in the way im currently doing it is safer than the previous way I would trade the news. Just my opinion tho, once you start testing it yourself a lot of those questions will be answered.
